solardrone– Contributing to the sustainability of the planet
Our goal is to maximize the efficiency and performance of your solar installations through immediate actions based on the information obtained.
Solardrone was born in Extremadura, a very unique region in southern Europe whose demographics and climate place it in the top 3 of areas with the most photovoltaic plants on the continent.
Our CEO and founder José Quesada, an aeronautical engineer from the UPM in Madrid, proposed rethinking the way in which the maintenance of photovoltaic solar installations was carried out at that time.
After a few months of analysis and work, JosĂ© proposes an unprecedented and completely disruptive technology so far that allows the maintenance speed to be multiplied by 10 and its cost divided by 10. This project is the winner of the âEntrepreneurial Ideas of the Rural Worldâ contest of the Provincial Council of CĂĄceres, obtaining a prize of âŹ6,000, being selected as the best among more than 20 projects.
Confirmation that we are going in the right direction comes two months later when it is selected from more than 900 projects to be accelerated by âTelefĂłnica Open Futureâ, with an injection of âŹ50,000 of capital and a 6-month incubation surrounded by the best professionals to begin to transform the initial idea, which had arisen almost as a concern, into a true business reality.
In 2018 Solardrone is the winner of the National Young Entrepreneurs Contest.
At Solardrone we are dedicated to predictive maintenance using aerial thermography.
We enhance energy efficiency, promoting more effective and sustainable use of solar energy.
